The House of glass
   Max Marcins first play, The House of Glass, opened on 1 September 1915 for 245 performances at the Chandler Theatre produced by George M. Cohan (although he did not claim writing credit, Cohan worked with Marcin on polishing the script). Businessman Harry Lake hires a detective to find out which of his employees is stealing from the firm. The detective unearths the secret of Lake's wife, Margaret, who spent time in prison for a crime she did not commit. Lake is shocked, but the couple reconcile. Clara Kemble Young starred in a 1918 motion picture version.
